Technology, if understood to be the only way to obtain 'quality of life', is a misinterpretation of the word, since it makes us forget that architecture itself can give us levels of comfort which in many cases are adequate on their own.

The function of technology should be that of helping us to obtain such comfort by using the energy given us by nature but without forgetting economy or health.

The way our current consumer society wastes energy is unacceptable, especially when the natural resources which we have been using up to now are beginning to run out.
